Please join us July 27th, 2024 as we celebrate our wedding at Ashridge House in Hertfordshire, England.
Our Story
It all started over a vegan Indian dinner and dance party with Sam Smith in October 2019. Little did we know we were heading into a global pandemic less than six months later. Being trapped together 24/7 made us realize we kind of liked each other… and could not only survive, but thrive as a team. We also learned Simon is a pro at apocalypse preparation.
At end of a working summer in Europe, we were engaged in August 2022, in Santorini, Greece. Now we can’t wait to bring together all of our favorite people to celebrate!
Shera is a dancer and mover, writer, beauty-junkie, vintage clothing lover, barre instructor and hot sauce connoisseur. She grew up in southern North Carolina, but 10+ years in New York City finally acclimated her to frozen-kneecap winters and the unfortunate lack of proper biscuits and gravy (sausage gravy, let’s be clear). Her days are spent in the beauty industry, nights with their 11-year-old bunny, Akio, and spare time adventuring, whether down the street to explore a brunch spot or navigating to mushroom-foraging hiking spots upstate.
Random Shera Fact: At the age of 9, Shera was involved in her first car crash… She was the driver!
Simon reached the shores of the United States in winter 2011, having voyaged from his home village of Keevil, in the United Kingdom. Following a brief stint in Paris that fueled his love of croissants… and all things sweet let’s be honest, he continued his journey east across the Atlantic to NYC. A dual citizen as of October 2022, he’ll always hold a special place in his heart for fish & chips and mushy peas. He loves to spend time baking and whipping up delicious new recipes for Shera and bunny Akio.
Random Simon Fact: There is a bronze Simon statue (don’t worry, it’s just his head), that was featured on the British news.

Ashridge House
Ashridge House is located only 45 minutes north of Heathrow Airport.
With over 700 years of fascinating history, Ashridge House was originally a monastery, and later became a royal residence for Henry VIII and Elizabeth I.
It has since been a private house, a military hospital during both World Wars, a ladies’ finishing school, and now a beautiful, historical event venue set in 190 acres of beautiful, landscaped gardens.
We can’t wait to celebrate with you at Ashridge!
Interesting Ashridge Facts:
Ashridge has been a filming location for various films and productions, including Killing Eve, Maleficent and Bridget Jones: Age of Reason.
12 yr-old Queen Elizabeth I spent eight years at Ashridge, until at the age of 20, when she was arrested for suspicion of treason in 1554. See if you can spot her likeness somewhere on the grounds.
